Samsung Unveils 360-Degree Rotable Chromebook Pro With Pen.
Lately, Samsung has been a lot in the news but for the wrong reasons. After the launch of its Galaxy Note 7 and complaints of the device catching fire or exploding and recalling of all the Note 7 devices world-wide, the South Korean company is naturally incurring huge losses.
Amidst all this, Samsung unveiled its latest high-end Chromebook in Korea - "Samsung Chromebook Pro".
It features a metal body with dimensions of 279 x 250 x 13.9mm and weighs 1.08kg. It has a 12.3-inch, 360-degree rotatable QHD display with a resolution of 2400 x 1600 pixels. It runs on a 2GHz Hexa-core (Dual A72, Quad A53) processor with a 4GB RAM, 32GB external storage which is further expandable using a microSD card reader. It includes a headphone jack as well as a loudspeaker. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1. The Chromebook has a battery life of 10 hours and two USB Type-C ports. The Chromebook Pro has curved keycaps. Samsung says that these are ergonomically matched to fit the shape of your fingertips for typing comfortably. The Chromebook Pro runs Chrome OS, which means the user can access Google Play Store and all of the Android apps that are available on an Android smartphone and tablet.
What's worth mentioning is the inclusion of Note-like Stylus called the "PEN." Despite a different name, the PEN looks nearly identical to the S Pen that came with the Note 7, and Samsung is saying that the stylus provides for a "true-to-life, natural PEN experience."
The Samsung Chromebook Pro comes in Platinum Silver color and is available for pre-order at $499 (Rs. 33,290 approx.) at Adorama.
