Up until now you could stream Xbox games to your PC. But now there's something more. You can even add a touch of virtual reality to your Xbox games because starting December 12, Oculus Rift owners can now stream their Xbox One library to Rift with the new Xbox One Streaming to Oculus Rift app.
Here's how it can be done -
Once you connect the Xbox One Streaming to Oculus Rift app, the video output from the Xbox will be streamed to your Rift headset and projected onto a screen of your choice of one of three VR environments - “Citadel,” “Retreat” and “Dome.”
The Xbox games that can be run on Rift are Forza Horizon 3, Halo 5:Guardians. Also, backward-compatible Xbox 360 games, will run in the Rift.
Microsoft and Oculus have joined hands to offer an Xbox Wireless Controller which would be included with every Oculus Rift you buy. Also, with the new wireless controller, you can play games on Rift right out of the box with the Xbox Wireless Adapter.
