Kitne pixel wala camera hai isme? We often hear this question roaring. And it won't be wrong to say that smartphone camera technology has seen a vast improvement over the years, and this inorder has brought back "the pixel war". Now manufacturers have been experimenting with hardware and software in an attempt to achieve performance equivalent to DSLR. And today the smartphone cameras have become more popular. But that's not all, because this seems like a beginning!
Qualcomm recently announced that most of its new chipsets support cameras with up to 192 megapixel sensors, as part of a specs sheet update. And that gave a go to the possibility of smartphones with 192 megapixel cameras! However, for that you will have to wait, until then there is a surprise by Qualcomm- You might see 100-megapixel cameras on your phones by the end of the year! Isn't that Waaaoooow!
Qualcomm has also said that they are expecting a 64-megapixel and even 100-megapixel+ camera sensors by the end of 2019. According to Judd Heape, Qualcomm’s Senior Director of Product Management a number of manufacturers are now working with sensor makers to try and get 64 and 100-megapixel+ sensors on smartphones by the end of this year. While we don’t have any information about these manufacturers, but there is a possibility that we could see flagships by the end of 2019 featuring a 100-megapixel+ camera.
“There are no 192-megapixel sensors available right now. I think, pretty much in the market today, the most common large megapixel sensor is the 48 megapixels. There are more that will be coming out later this year at 64 megapixels. And by the end of the year, we should be touching over 100 megapixels from a couple of the sensor providers,” he added.
So let's keep tight and see "what fun the new-100 megapixel smartphone camera brings to you.
