OnePlus 6T is arriving on October 17 and the phone has already featured in renders, teasers and press images. The device will have an in-display fingerprint scanner, but no 3.5 mm audio jack, and will have a 10% bigger battery than the predecessor OnePlus 6.
A new bit of information has also been revealed thanks to an Amazon India listing - the market launch date, which is going to be October 30. The handset will apparently go up for pre-order on the 17th of October and then launch on the 30th of October.
The OnePlus 6T will have a lot in common with the Oppo R17 since both companies are practically part of the same consortium. It will have an 6.41” AMOLED screen with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera, while the back panel will host a vertical dual camera setup with an LED flash below.
Specs-wise it will run on latest Snapdragon 845 chipset and will have 6 GB and 8 GB RAM options. It has two color options - with metal or glass panel on the back, meaning wireless charging is out of the question. Everything else is pretty much the same as the predecessor OnePlus 6 - volume keys on the left, power button and alert slider on the right side, speaker and USB-C port on the bottom.
The handset will come with the latest version of Google’s Android OS, Android 9.0 Pie, we will have more information about the device when it is made official later this month.
